Phil is the Managing Director of Microsoft DRM specialists, Makeni Ltd, in the UK.

From media encoding farms to multi-channel video scheduling systems with digital rights management, Makeni has completed projects across the UK and European media industry.

Makeni is also responsible for many live webcasts, including from some of the top music festivals around the UK.

Phil is currently the web streaming consultant to the European Parliament, involved in the development of a 20 language webTV project, and in a varied career has been a Broadcast Engineer; Technical Manager behind the broadcasting of Wimbledon Tennis; a Radio Station Manager in Zambia and streaming consultant and contractor to 10 Downing Street for over 4 years.
