Ms Ling Pek Ling is the Director (Media Policy) with the Media Development Authority (MDA).

At MDA, Ms Ling is responsible for the licensing and regulation of media services, and the formulation of media policies for media services, including convergent services.

Ms Ling has been instrumental in establishing the policy framework for regulating Internet content and promoting online safety. The MDA’s lighttouch Internet Class Licence framework has helped facilitate healthy growth of the Internet, while establishing safeguards against objectionable content.

Ms Ling also oversees the development of a policy framework that seeks to
promote deployment of interactive digital media services.
